The Practice

One discipline. 3 ways to experience it.

Different entry points.
Same intention:
orientation before motion.

01
Consulting

We investigate before we decide.

WHAT CAUSED IT?

consultingupstream

We look upstream to uncover the events, decisions, processes, and assumptions that set this in motion.

IS IT ACTUALLY THE PROBLEM?

We test the framing. What if the real issue is something we're not seeing?

WHAT IS IT CREATING?

consultingripple

We look downstream to understand the impact, the ripple effects, and what else it's creating.

WHAT EVIDENCE SUPPORTS IT?

consultingmagnifying

We gather proof. Data, stories, patterns, contradictions—whatever brings clarity to the truth.

NOW DECIDE.

consultingmotion

Sometimes the answer is exactly where everyone thought. Sometimes it isn't. Either way, you leave with orientation.

Is fixing this problem more cost-effective? Or is fixing something upstream the better solution?
My job is not to answer that for you.

It’s to help you see enough that you can make the choice.

02
Facilitation

We work through it—together.

Messy situations often require the presence of the subject matter experts in the room. And that, in itself, also gets wonderfully messy and energetic.

My approach to facilitation is to walk participants through the Clarity Architecture discipline as they work through a real situation together. The goal isn’t simply to have a productive meeting—it’s to experience the discipline in action. What better way to learn than in a live setting?

Whether the focus is a personal messy situation, a team challenge, or a larger organizational initiative, the process remains the same: uncover what’s happening, build shared understanding, and find orientation before deciding what comes next.

Every situation is different, so we’ll determine together the approach that best serves the work in front of us.

03
Speaking

We spark recognition.
Motion follows.

Through stories, observations, and practical examples, I invite audiences to recognize patterns they may have overlooked, question assumptions they’ve accepted, and discover new ways of approaching the situations that leave them feeling stuck.

My hope is that people recognize what’s possible, and motion follows.

Curious how orientation applies to you?
Have a messy situation?

NOTES TO YOUR INBOX

New observations, ideas, and stories—straight to you.

notes,
not noise.
