Feeling stuck?

There is nothing more that I dislike than the feeling of feeling stuck in my personal life. It makes me feel powerless, like a victim. If I'm not careful, I can spend a long time in that place waiting for an outside source to come with detailed instructions on what to do next. Wouldn't that be nice?

We know that doesn't happen. As a person of faith and a believer that God still speaks today, I would even get resentful that God wasn't providing an answer. You know, a map, move here, take five steps forward, two steps left, and boom, you're out. However, I learn a few things.

Oftentimes, God had already spoken, and the solution to get unstuck was up to me. There was just something I needed to do. And that was to truly orient myself to the situation I was facing. What was the issue?

What had God already said? What was the first step I could take? How can I move? And an example I can share is I was living in the Dahlonega, and I was not happy there.

I felt very conflicted because I own a house, I'm moving, right? It'd be a lot of work. So my question was, do I move or do I stay? My happiness was a state by staying there, because I didn't know anyone.

And I had been my choice to move there. But I was making God responsible for my happiness. And kept saying, I am waiting for God to tell me what to do. Just give me a sign, Lord, tell me, do I move or do I stay?

But guess what? God values my opinion. He values how I feel. And one of the questions that I really had to ask was, did I feel it was time to leave?

And the answer was yes. So the next question obviously was, what is the next step that I could take to start that process? So the next step that I could do was to talk to a realtor about selling my home. Just that, to get some peace of mind, to get some understanding as to what were my options when it came to selling my first home.

I had never done that before. So having someone give me that orientation as to what to do was really helpful. The next steps that follow were very practical, right? It was pack my home.

So get it ready for selling, clean it up. All of this happened. And guess what? If God were to say no, he, it would be very easy for him to say no.

I think one of the things we hear the quick as the fastest is a no. And we make it seem so hard. But guess what? The no is the quick thing we hear.

But we feel like it takes forever for no to arrive. But God is so big. Do you think he would wait forever to tell us no, that's the wrong thing to do? No.

He would tell it to us in a second. But we get all pretzel like trying to figure out what is God saying. And most of the time he's just waiting on us to finally make a decision. But we get all confused.

And sometimes we just need to take a step back, relax. What did God say before? What is the things that we can actually do? Because we are powerful individuals.

So if you're feeling stuck now, what can you do to orient yourself towards the thing that is making you feel stuck? And what is the best step? Even if it's a tiny step that you can do now, that will get you out of feeling stuck. So think about that.

And let me know.
